About the Board | Current Board Members

Wunan is governed by a Board consisting of:

 Board Members
— six local Aboriginal people from across the East Kimberley region, appointed from nominations by other Aboriginal Corporations;
— a Special Advisor: an independently appointed Chartered Accountant, who has specific responsibilities under the Constitution in relation to the robustness of governance practices; and
— up to three members (Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal) appointed for their special expertise relevant to the affairs of Wunan.
 
Importantly, Board members are appointed primarily on the basis of experience and skill, rather than on representative or political grounds.

The standard period of office for Board members is 4 years.
