Dan Gaffney, Wunan’s General Manager Commercial has demonstrated his ability to manage and implement quality, cost effective, customer focused community services and social enterprises. Dan has a background in business development, marketing and promotion, and program delivery. He is committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. Dan’s strengths include stakeholder engagement, learning and development, compliance, quality assurance, and striving for best practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Leisure Management - Major Sports Marketing) from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and he is a current member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Most significantly Dan has extensive previous senior executive level experience working with vulnerable young people including First Nations youth. For 17 years he worked in a senior role with Surf Life Saving NSW. He is a current Director and Treasurer for Lifeline Northern Beaches Mosman to Kirribilli and has also been an active volunteer with the Raise Foundation, a NFP youth mentoring organisation providing support for teenagers in high schools across Australia. He also has valued experience operating a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) focused on delivering First Aid training.
